Your Responsibilities:
If you love theatre and dream of working in a place where every day brings new challenges and plenty of variety, then apply to join us! We are looking for someone to support our organization and technical department. Simply put, WE ARE NOT LOOKING FOR ARTISTS but for people who can support the artists 😉 and, most importantly, welcome our audience, manage the bar, and prepare performances.
What does the organization and technical department do?
What would your duties include?
- Audience support in the theater – primarily during EVERY WEEKEND, but occasionally during weekdays, including ticket checking and providing information.
- Bar management – selling and preparing drinks and snacks, as well as cleaning tasks in the bar.
- Hosting birthday parties and theater rentals for special occasions.
- Setting up and dismantling stage sets for performances – a task requiring precision and a sense of aesthetics. The sets aren’t massive, so you don’t need to be a bodybuilder, as long as you’re okay with occasionally climbing a ladder.
- Lighting and sound management during performances – before you sit at the mixing desk, you might need to hang, connect, or extend some equipment. We don’t expect you to have experience in this area, but it’s important that you have an aptitude for it – we’ll teach you everything you need to know.
- Maintenance of the theater’s technical equipment.
- Cleaning and organizing the theater space, including the hall, foyer, bar, and restrooms. Also, cleaning small elements after each performance.
- Purchasing supplies for the bar and the theater’s daily needs.
- Minor repairs and other handyman tasks – we appreciate people with a knack for fixing things.
- Flexible working hours – we perform EVERY WEEKEND and sometimes during the week. Occasionally, the theater is rented out to others in the evening or during the day. Our theater activity is also seasonal: the busiest time is autumn and winter, it slows down in spring, and in summer, we enjoy a few weeks of vacation ?. Working in our theater doesn’t fit into a strict 9-to-5 schedule. While we try to plan everything, sometimes tasks come up in the evening or early morning.
Our Requirements:
Are you someone who:
- Loves theater and thrives on challenges in a dynamic environment,
- Has a lot of positive energy, is open, communicative, and fluent in English,
- Isn’t daunted by working EVERY WEEKEND,
- Has manual or technical skills or finds it easy to handle electronic devices and new technologies,
- Is punctual, reliable, and independent – we need someone who doesn’t require constant supervision and has plenty of self-motivation,
- Has a driver’s license (category B) – preferred but not mandatory,
- Is physically fit (you’ll occasionally lift, run, and climb ladders up to 3 meters),
- Dreams of a job that’s a mix of physical and mental challenges, where you can continuously learn and grow?
then you are exactly who we are looking for! - Is available to work for us between 30 – 40 hours per week? If you are the right person, we would like to discuss with you the possibilities. If you don’t want to work full time, it can be discussed.
What We Offer:
- A job where your voice and ideas matter.
- A workplace where you can be yourself – dress as you like and express your unique passions and views.
- A dynamic environment where there’s always something happening, and personal development is a priority.
- The opportunity to be part of a project that makes the world a better place, offering great potential for personal and professional growth.
- A market conform salary
How to Apply:
It doesn’t matter how many degrees you have or whether you have experience in the cultural sector – maybe you want to take your career in a new direction. You don’t need to list all your work experience and employers in your CV. Just describe your most important professional experiences and, most importantly, tell us about your biggest success – a project or achievement you’re proud of.
Write (or tell us in a short video, max 3 minutes) about your talents. They don’t need to be at a professional level; it’s more about what brings you joy. Maybe you love writing, have creative hands, take beautiful photos, have a great sense of color and aesthetics, or can design posters and flyers. Maybe you love social media and excel at creating posts, clicking, and scrolling. Perhaps you enjoy exploring new tech gadgets and can imagine spending half the night figuring out how to link products to a Facebook post. Maybe you’re great at talking to people and dream of networking with media, influencers, and celebrities. Or perhaps you love numbers and administrative work, or you’re a master at repairs and fixing things.
About Us
We are the only stacionary theater in the Netherlands that focuses exclusively on the youngest audiences – children from 8 months to 6 years old. Together with a group of artists, actors, and musicians, we create THEATER that’s more than just classic children’s performances – it’s a meaningful encounter.
We experiment, try new things, observe, and analyze. Each new project is a culmination of our past experiences. We are a team of passionate people who love challenges, enjoy learning and growing, dislike stagnation, and have a unique sense of humor. We care about animals, the environment, and the planet’s future. We care about children and their harmonious development – we want them to grow up surrounded by beauty and kindness.
Theater and music are our passion and way of life. We aim to make the world a better place – for children, their families, and for all of us. If you share these values, join us!
